11。29。2006。

The internet is too slow here, mama, I ll upload the pictures when I get back.
This place is stunning… I’ll come back in Feb and July.
I Colorado. This is where I am going to settle down in the near future:)

(not true now, too cold for such a small animal like me:)

They got married on a mountaintop in Denver
Just a preacher and a few of their best friends
They said I do, and then he gently kissed her
He whispered if I die tonight, I’ll die a happy man

They made a lot of memories together
They came back to that mountain every year
With his head in her lap, he’d smile and tell her
"Baby if I go before you, bring me right back here"

On a cliff in Colorado,
The story ends right where it all began
On a cliff in
Colorado
With tears in her eyes
She said her last goodbye
And let his ashes fly into the wind

Some say she heard his voice softly whisper
And followed it right out into the cold.
They all say that no one went up with her
but at the top they found two sets of footprints in the snow

On a cliff in Colorado
The story ends right where it all began
On a cliff in
Colorado
With tears in her eyes
She said her last goodbye
And stepped right back into his arms again

From THE VASE
by Kuo Mo-jo (1892-1978)

"There was a girl some years ago,
Who went to the Ling Mountain one day
The mountain was full of plum blossoms
And she picked five of them
She threaded the blossoms on a pin
And sent them to a poet

The poet, ah, he was a fool
He swallowed them and died
Since the death of that poet
Several years have gone by, then
From his grave on the Ling mountain
Appeared a cluster of plum trees

Spring again! The girl came
To tend his grave, the flower
Buds were already swelling
Though grass was still asleep
Before the grave the girl stood
Strumming a few notes on her lute

At the sound of her music
The blossoms began to bloom
Sweet scent hovered above the tree
And below it rang the chords of her lute

Suddenly came a gust of wind
And the girl vanished in the air
When the wind stilled, a carpet
Of fallen petals covered the tomb
No longer was the girl there, but
Her lute played in the grave"

EPILOGUE
Ah, if I were to have that moment, really,
I could die right now. And if you
Could forgive my silly request,
Hurry up and bury my humble remains”

    听了《On a cliff in Colorado》,就爱上了它!
